From the Pastor: “On Shepherding”
Many of us learned the words of Psalm 23 when we were young, and most of us can still say them by heart. It’s wonderful to think of God as a caring Shepherd who comforts us. But the psalm also speaks of God as a guiding Shepherd. Church communities tend to be very good about caring, especially for each other. But that’s only part of our calling. Who are you guiding both inside and outside the church circle? Is there someone you could be mentoring in the faith and in leadership? Come Holy Spirit, and free us from comforting each other, so that we might enable others to serve you!

De la Pastora: “Sobre Pastorear”
Much@s de nosotr@s aprendimos el Salmo 23 en la niñez, y la mayoría podemos recitarlo de memoria. Es maravilloso pensar en Dios como un pastor tierno que nos consuela. Pero el salmo también describe a Dios como un pastor guía. Las comunidades de fe tienden a distinguirse por el cuidado, sobre todo el cuidado mutuo. Pero eso es sólo parte de nuestro llamado. ¿A quién guía usted dentro y fuera del círculo de la iglesia? ¿Podría usted ser mentor o mentora de alguien en la fe y el liderazgo?¡Ven, Espíritu Santo, y libéranos de apapacharnos mutuamente, para que capacitemos a otr@s para servirte!
