From the Pastor: “On Fear”
The story of Jesus final week is sprinkled with fear, and we see disciples betraying Jesus, denying that they know him, and abandoning him at the end. Fear is indeed a paralyzing feeling, but it is an inevitable part of life. So the question is not whether or not we will be afraid. The question is what will we do when we are afraid. Will we run and hide? Or will we face the circumstances, even with trembling voice and shaky knees, and stand up for what we believe? Come Holy Spirit, and free us from fear to believe, to act, and to live according to God’s will!

De la Pastora: “Sobre el miedo”
La historia de la semana final de Jesús está salpicada abundantemente de miedo, y vemos a los discípulos traicionar a Jesús, negar que lo conocen y abandonarlo al final. El miedo es en verdad un sentimiento paralizante, pero es parte inevitable de la vida. De modo que la pregunta no es si sentiremos o no miedo. La pregunta es qué haremos cuando sintamos temor. ¿Saldremos corriendo a escondernos? ¿O encararemos las circunstancias, aunque sea con voz temblorosa y rodillas gelatinosas, para defender lo que creemos? ¡Ven, Espíritu Santo y libéranos del miedo a creer, a actuar y a vivir de acuerdo a la voluntad de Dios!
