From the Pastor: “On Fathers”
On Father’s Day much is made of biology, and sometimes with good reason. This is a special day to remember and honor our progenitors. But we also know that being a good father requires qualities that have nothing to do with genetics. The hallmarks of good fathering are nurturing love and good counsel. As the Bible says: “Train children in the right way, and when old, they will not stray” (Proverbs 22:6). We praise God for all the special men who have guided us and loved us, and we pray that we might learn to treasure their words of wisdom. ~ Pastor Magdalena

De la Pastora: “Sobre los Padres”
El Día de los Padres se enfatiza mucho la relación biológica, y a veces con buena razón. Éste es un día especial para recordar y honrar a nuestros progenitores. Pero también sabemos que el ser un buen padre requiere cualidades que no tienen nada que ver con la genética. Las marcas distintivas de un buen padre son el amor constante y los buenos consejos. Como dice la Biblia: “Dale buena educación al niño de hoy, y el viejo de mañana jamás la abandonará” (Proverbios 22:6). Alabamos a Dios por todos los hombres especiales que nos han amado y guiado, y oramos porque aprendamos a atesorar sus sabios consejos. ~ Pastora Magdalena
