Allí estuvieron,
junto a la cruz,
las mujeres discípulas,
llorando por la injusta crucifixión
del hijo que con su testimonio
al imperio romano amenazó
por anunciar justicia y compasión.
Oh Dios, en tu misericordia,
seca sus lágrimas, alivia su dolor,
e infunde en tu pueblo
voluntad para responder
con determinación y valor.

Allí están,
junto a la cruz,
las mujeres campesinas,
llorando por la injusta explotación
de los hijos que con sus manos
siembran nuestro alimento
bajo amenaza de deportación.
Oh Dios, en tu misericordia,
seca sus lágrimas, alivia su dolor,
e infunde en tu pueblo
voluntad para responder
con determinación y valor.

Allí están,
junto a la cruz,
las mujeres inmigrantes,
llorando por la injusta difamación
de los hijos que no merecen
ser víctimas de políticas inhumanas
ni fichas de campañas de elección.
Oh Dios, en tu misericordia,
seca sus lágrimas, alivia su dolor,
e infunde en tu pueblo
voluntad para responder
con determinación y valor.

Allí están,
junto a la cruz,
las mujeres transgénero,
llorando por la injusta exclusión
de les hijes que debido a su identidad sexual
son objeto de burlas y acoso
y hasta en la iglesia reciben condenación.
Oh Dios, en tu misericordia,
seca sus lágrimas, alivia su dolor,
e infunde en tu pueblo
voluntad para responder
con determinación y valor.

Allí están,
junto a la cruz,
las mujeres palestinas,
llorando por la injusta exterminación
de los hijos amenazados de genocidio
y muriendo bajo los escombros
en un mundo cegado por la ambición.
Oh Dios, en tu misericordia,
seca sus lágrimas, alivia su dolor,
e infunde en tu pueblo
voluntad para responder
con determinación y valor.

Allí están,
junto a la cruz,
las mujeres cubanas,
llorando por la injusta privación
de los hijos que con gritos desesperados,
silencios angustiosos y exilios forzados
reclaman mejor calidad de vida y liberación.
Oh Dios, en tu misericordia,
seca sus lágrimas, alivia su dolor,
e infunde en tu pueblo
voluntad para responder
con determinación y valor.

Allí están,
junto a la cruz,
las mujeres…

near the cross,
the transgender women,
crying because of the unjust exclusion
of the children who on account of their sexual identity
are the object of mockery and harassment
and even in church find condemnation.
O God, in your mercy,
dry their tears, relieve their pain,
and instill in your people
the will to respond
with determination and courage.

There they are,
near the cross,
the Palestinian women,
crying because of the unjust extermination
of the children subjected to genocide
and dying under the rubble
in a world blinded by ambition.
O God, in your mercy,
dry their tears, relieve their pain,
and instill in your people
the will to respond
with determination and courage.

There they are,
near the cross,
the Cuban women,
crying because of the unjust deprivation
of the children who with desperate cries,
distressing silences and forced exile
demand better quality of life and liberation.
O God, in your mercy,
dry their tears, relieve their pain,
and instill in your people
the will to respond
with determination and courage.

near the cross,
the women…
