Give us, O God of the Dawn,
the commitment of Jesus in Galilee
to proclaim that your kin-dom of mercy and justice has arrived,
and the resilience of Jesus at Golgotha
to face adversity trusting that you are by our side.

Give us, O God of the Dawn,
the faithfulness of the Marys and all other women
to accompany the persecuted and violated,
and the audacity of Pilate’s spouse
to intercede on behalf of the innocent falsely accused.

Give us, O God of the Dawn,
the repentance of Simon Peter
to weep bitterly when we have denied you,
and the remorse of Judas Iscariot
to acknowledge the mistakes we have made.

Give us, O God of the Dawn,
the strength of Simon of Cyrene
to carry the crosses that life leans on us,
and the generosity of Joseph of Arimathea
to let go of the goods that we have accumulated.

Give us, O God of the Dawn,
the boldness of Mary Magdalene
to announce that you live and have truly risen,
and the willingness to be authentic disciples
who show the world that love prevails
and hatred has been defeated.

Amen.

el compromiso de Jesús en Galilea
para proclamar que tu reinado de misericordia y justicia ha llegado,
y la resiliencia de Jesús en el Gólgota
para enfrentar la adversidad confiando en que estás a nuestro lado

Danos, oh Dios del Amanecer,
la fidelidad de todas las Marías y demás mujeres
para acompañar a los perseguidos y violentados,
y el atrevimiento de la esposa de Pilato
para interceder por los inocentes falsamente acusados.

Danos, oh Dios del Amanecer,
el arrepentimiento de Simón Pedro
para llorar amargamente cuando te hemos negado,
y el remordimiento de Judas Iscariote
para reconocer cuando nos hemos equivocado.

Danos, oh Dios del Amanecer,
la fuerza de Simón de Cirene
para cargar las cruces que la vida nos ha recostado,
y la generosidad de José de Arimatea
para desprendernos de los bienes que hemos acumulado.

Danos, oh Dios del Amanecer,
la osadía de María Magdalena
para anunciar que vives y en verdad has resucitado,
y la voluntad de ser auténticos discípulos, discípulas y discípules
que le muestran al mundo que el amor prevalece
y el odio ha sido derrotado.
