The invitation is to follow,
to leave behind the comfort of the known,
to let go of the stability of familiar routines,
to give up the subsistence guaranteed by a boat,
to trust in the one opening a path,
to take steps without seeing the whole road,
to be curious about possibilities,
to undertake a journey of discovery.
The invitation is to follow,
but we always want to lead
and we really prefer to stay.

God of the Dawn,
when we cling to the safety
of a lamp at dusk
show us that with you
there is always a new day.

God of the Seashore,
when we cling to the livelihood
that a net can provide
remind us that with you
there is always a new way.

“La invitación”

Una reflexión basada en Marcos 1:14-20

La invitación es a seguir,
dejar atrás la comodidad de lo conocido,
soltar la estabilidad de la rutina familiar,
renunciar a la subsistencia garantizada por un barco,
confiar en aquel que abre un sendero,
dar pasos sin ver la ruta entera,
tener curiosidad por las posibilidades,
emprender un viaje de descubrimiento.
La invitación es a seguir,
pero siempre queremos dirigir
y en verdad preferimos vegetar.

Dios del Amanecer,
cuando nos aferramos a la seguridad
de una lámpara al oscurecer
muéstranos que contigo
siempre hay un nuevo amanecer.

Dios del Litoral,
cuando nos aferramos al sustento
que una red puede brindar
recuérdanos que contigo
siempre hay camino por explorar.
