For the wild berries
that are left on the tree
after the leaves are gone
we give thanks, O God,
for they feed the birds and the squirrels
and they are a living testament
to your character and will.

You who created all things
and charged us with the care
of the earth and its creatures.
You commanded your people
to leave grain in the fields
so that the poor could glean.

Fort the wild berries,
we give thanks, O God,
because they show us
what it means to live
with gratitude and rectitude.

Una oración de gratitud en Acción de Gracias

Por las bayas silvestres
que quedan en el árbol
después que las hojas cayeron
te damos gracias, oh Dios,
porque alimentan las aves y las ardillas
y son un testamento vivo
de tu carácter y tu voluntad.

Tú creaste todas las cosas
y nos encargaste el cuidado
de la tierra y sus criaturas.
Tú le ordenaste a tu pueblo
dejar grano en los campos
para que los pobres pudiesen espigar.

Por las bayas silvestres,
te damos gracias, oh Dios,
porque ellas nos demuestran
lo que significa vivir
con gratitud y rectitud.
