When we are overcome by fear and doubt our potential,
remind us, O God,
that you have given us as a light to the nations,
that your shalom may reach the end of the earth.

When we abuse creation and threaten life on the planet,
remind us, O God,
that you have given us as a light to the nations,
that your shalom may reach the end of the earth.

When we are distracted by selfish goals and personal gain,
remind us, O God,
that you have given us as a light to the nations,
that your shalom may reach the end of the earth.

When we are obsessed with traditions and institutional advancement,
remind us, O God,
that you have given us as a light to the nations,
that your shalom may reach the end of the earth.

When we use faith to divide and creed to raise barriers,
remind us, O God,
that you have given us as a light to the nations,
that your shalom may reach the end of the earth.

When we build ideological fences instead of friendship bridges,
remind us, O God,
that you have given us as a light to the nations,
that your shalom may reach the end of the earth.

Una letanía basada en Isaías 49:1-7

Cuando nos invade el miedo y dudamos de nuestro potencial,
recuérdanos, oh Dios,
que tú nos has puesto como luz de las naciones,
para que tu salam alcance hasta los confines de la tierra.

Cuando abusamos de la creación y amenazamos la vida en el planeta,
recuérdanos, oh Dios,
que tú nos has puesto como luz de las naciones,
para que tu salam alcance hasta los confines de la tierra.

Cuando nos distraemos con metas egoístas y ganancias personales,
recuérdanos, oh Dios,
que tú nos has puesto como luz de las naciones,
para que tu salam alcance hasta los confines de la tierra.

Cuando nos obsesionamos con las tradiciones y el avance institucional,
recuérdanos, oh Dios,
que tú nos has puesto como luz de las naciones,
para que tu salam alcance hasta los confines de la tierra.

Cuando usamos la fe para dividir y los credos para levantar barreras,
recuérdanos, oh Dios,
que tú nos has puesto como luz de las naciones,
para que tu salam alcance hasta los confines de la tierra.

Cuando construimos vallas ideológicas en vez de puentes de amistad,
recuérdanos, oh Dios,
que tú nos has puesto como luz de las naciones,
para que tu salam alcance hasta los confines de la tierra.
