Go out and be like Jesus,
the unconditional friend of sinners,
and seek diligently
the hurting sheep
who are missing from our midst,
the ones who are allegedly lost
but who one fine day disappeared
because our ignorance and prejudice
inflicted wounds, suffering and tears.

Go and be like Jesus,
the unconditional friend of sinners,
and announce the good news
of the God whose eye
is on the tiny sparrow,
the God who is everpresent
with all people without exception,
and the God for whom nothing or no one
is ever lost or beyond redemption.

Go and be like Jesus,
the unconditional friend of sinners,
and bear faithful witness
to the God who created and celebrates
diversity of every kind,
the God who tenderly embraces
sheep of every stripe,
and the God whose providence
lovingly enfolds everyone.

“Amigue de pecadores”

Una bendición basada en Lucas 15

Vayan y sean como Jesús,
el amigue incondicional de pecadores,
y busquen con diligencia
a las ovejas heridas
que faltan en medio nuestro,
a las supuestamente perdidas
que un buen día se ausentaron
porque nuestra ignorancia y prejuicios
con crudeza las azotaron.

Vayan y sean como Jesús,
el amigue incondicional de pecadores,
y anuncien la buena nueva
del Dios cuya mirada
vigila al pequeño gorrión,
el Dios que está presente
con toda persona y en todo rincón,
y el Dios para quien nada ni nadie
está jamás perdido o fuera de la redención.

Vayan y sean como Jesús,
el amigue incondicional de pecadores,
y den testimonio fiel
del Dios que creó y celebra
todas las diferencias,
el Dios que tiernamente abraza
a las ovejas de toda tendencia,
y el Dios que a todes acoge
amorosamente en su divina providencia.
