You receive an invitation

and are given participation;

you are welcomed at the door

and have access to the floor;

you are assigned a special role

and process with a colorful stole;

you are included in the picture

and become a coveted fixture.

You are the greatest!

Or to be more precise,

you are my greatest opportunity

to strengthen public relations

and advance my aspirations;

to be seen with the right crowd

and feel important and proud;

to expand my networking

and access needed funding;

to promote a worthy cause

and receive coveted applause.

You can help me become the greatest!

Forgive us, Lord of the Towel,

for seeking the first places,

for clinging to prominent spaces,

for pursuing glory and greatness.

Remind us, Lord of the Basin,

that you have called us to serve each other,

and that the greatest in your eyes

is whoever acts with the greatest grace.

Recibes una invitación

y te dan participación;

en la puerta de dan la bienvenida

y en la junta te dan cabida;

te asignan una función especial

y desfilas con estola ministerial;

te acomodan en la foto

y te incluyen en el alboroto.

¡Tú eres lo máximo!

O para ser más precisa,

tú eres mi mayor oportunidad

para fortalecer mis relaciones

y avanzar mis aspiraciones;

para codearme con gente centelleante

y sentirme orgullosa e importante;

para expandir mis redes sociales

y acceder a los capitales;

para promover una causa noble

y recibir el aplauso doble.

¡Tú puedes ayudarme a convertirme en lo máximo!

Perdónanos, Señor de la Toalla,

por procurar los primeros lugares,

por apegarnos a los espacios prominentes,

por perseguir la gloria y la grandeza.

Recuérdanos, Señor de la Palangana,

que tú nos has llamado al servicio mutuo,

y que el mayor ante tus ojos

es quien obra con la mayor gracia.
