Decir “Dios al mundo amó”
es recordar que su plan
a la tierra y los astros incluyó.

Decir “Dios al mundo amó”
es declarar que su ternura
a toda criatura atesoró.

Decir “Dios al mundo amó”
es afirmar que su visión
a ningún ser humano excluyó.

Decir “Dios al mundo amó”
es entender que su proyecto
a pobres y marginados acogió.

Decir “Dios al mundo amó”
es atrevernos a acercarnos al pozo
donde Jesús agua de Samaria bebió.

Decir “Dios al mundo amó”
es proclamar que su bondad
con equidad los bienes repartió.

Decir “Dios al mundo amó”
es reconocer que su generosidad
la explotación generalizada condenó.

Decir “Dios al mundo amó”
es manifestarnos con el nazareno
que las mesas del templo volcó.

Decir “Dios al mundo amó”
es aliarnos con su pasión por la vida
que ningún esfuerzo escatimó.

Decir “Dios al mundo amó”
es entregarnos cual la semilla
que libremente el Hijo sembró.

Decir “Dios al mundo amó”
es abandonar el tradicionalismo
que a profetas como Jesús crucificó.

es madrugar con la humanidad en duelo
y anunciar que la vida triunfó.

Saying “God loved the world”
means remembering that God’s plan
included the stars and the earth.

Saying “God loved the world”
means declaring that God’s tenderness
cherished creatures great and small.

Saying “God loved the world”
means affirming that God’s vision
excluded no one from welcome and grace.

Saying “God loved the world”
means understanding that God’s project
embraced the poor and the dispossessed.

Saying “God loved the world”
means rejoicing that God’s personal envoy
greeted the Samaritan woman at the well.

Saying “God loved the world”
means proclaiming that God’s goodness
distributed goods in an equitable way.

Saying “God loved the world”
means recognizing that God’s generosity
condemned exploitation in all spheres.

Saying “God loved the world”
means applauding that God’s zeal
turned tables at the Temple’s marketplace.

Saying “God loved the world”
means aligning ourselves with God’s passion
in defense of abundant life every day.

Saying “God loved the world”
means surrendering to God’s call
like the seeds freely planted by the Son.

Saying “God loved the world”
means abandoning the traditionalism
that crucified prophets of the Living God.

Saying “God loved the world”
means welcoming dawn with the brokenhearted
to announce that life has triumphed over death.
