A sower went out to sow
day after day, time after time,
under scorching sunlight and torrential rains,
along the path and on rocky ground,
among the thorns and all around,
with little concern for the type of soil,
merely focused on the act of planting,
and trusting the potential
that each seed holds.

We, on the other hand, fail to go
day after day, time after time,
despite good weather and favorable winds,
along the path and on rocky ground,
among the thorns and all around,
chiefly preoccupied with the type of soil,
merely obsessed with the investment,
and doubting the potential
that each seed holds.

Forgive us, Planting God,
for playing it safe,
refusing to sow the seed of your Word
among unpleasant, perilous places
that seem unable to yield
desired results.

Remind us, Scattering God,
that you call us to risk,
daring to sow the seed of our Love
among adverse, bleak places,
that you enable to yield
surprising results.

Encourage us, Propagating God,
to approach each season
eager to sow the seed of your Care
among forgotten, broken places,
that long to yield
favorable results.

Entonces les habló por parábolas de muchas cosas. Les dijo: ‘El sembrador salió a sembrar’. – Mateo 13:3

Lea el pasaje aquí: Mateo 13:1-9, 18-23

Un sembrador salió a sembrar
día tras día, vez tras vez,
bajo el sol abrasador y las lluvias torrenciales,
junto al camino y en pedregales,
entre espinos y por todos los lugares,
haciendo caso omiso del tipo de terreno,
meramente enfocado en el acto de plantar,
y confiando en el potencial
que cada semilla encierra.

Nosotros, en cambio, fallamos en ir
día tras día, vez tras vez,
a pesar del buen clima y los vientos favorables,
junto al camino y en pedregales,
entre espinos y por todos los lugares,
mayormente preocupados por el tipo de terreno,
meramente obsesionados con la inversión,
y dudando del potencial
que cada semilla encierra.

Perdónanos, Dios Sembrador,
por apostar por lo seguro,
rehusando sembrar la semilla de tu Palabra
en lugares desagradables y peligrosos
que parecen incapaces de rendir
resultados deseados.

Recuérdanos, Dios Esparcidor,
que tú nos llamas a arriesgar,
osando sembrar la semilla de tu Amor
en lugares adversos e inhóspitos,
que tú capacitas para rendir
resultados sorprendentes.

Anímanos, Dios Propagador,
a abordar cada estación
dispuestos a sembrar la semilla de tu Cuidado
en lugares olvidados y quebrantados,
que anhelan rendir
resultados favorables.
