threaten to sink us into apathy,

Cuando salimos por fe
a alimentar al hambriento y albergar al desamparado,
pero las olas de la ansiedad y los vientos de reproches
amenazan con hundirnos en la apatía,
Señor Jesús, permítenos oírte decir:
“¡Ánimo! ¡Soy yo! ¡No tengan miedo!”
Cuando salimos por fe
a educar a las niñas y empoderar las mujeres,
pero las olas del sexismo y los vientos del patriarcalismo
amenazan con hundirnos en la sumisión,
Señor Jesús, permítenos oírte decir:
“¡Ánimo! ¡Soy yo! ¡No tengan miedo!”
Cuando salimos por fe
a dar la bienvenida al extraño y proteger al inmigrante,
pero las olas de la hostilidad y los vientos de la persecución
amenazan con hundirnos en la parálisis,
Señor Jesús, permítenos oírte decir:
“¡Ánimo! ¡Soy yo! ¡No tengan miedo!”
Cuando salimos por fe
a levantar la voz por los silenciados y defender los encarcelados,
pero las olas del prejuicio y los vientos de la inequidad
amenazan con hundirnos en la complicidad,
Señor Jesús, permítenos oírte decir:
“¡Ánimo! ¡Soy yo! ¡No tengan miedo!”
Cuando salimos por fe
a exigir cuidado de salud universal y medicamentos asequibles,
pero las olas de la avaricia y los vientos del partidismo
amenazan con hundirnos en la enfermedad,
Señor Jesús, permítenos oírte decir:
“¡Ánimo! ¡Soy yo! ¡No tengan miedo!”
Cuando salimos por fe
a promover el amor y la paz para la familia humana
pero las olas del odio racial y la supremacía blanca
amenazan con hundirnos en el nacionalismo,
Señor Jesús, permítenos oírte decir:
“¡Ánimo! ¡Soy yo! ¡No tengan miedo!”
