Over the chasm of apathy, neglect and abandonement,
let us build a bridge of justice and mercy.
Over the chasm of excuses, pretexts and alibis,
let us build a bridge of justice and mercy.

Over the chasm of pride, arrogance and disdain,
let us build a bridge of justice and mercy.
Over the chasm of greed, scams and fraud,
let us build a bridge of justice and mercy.

Over the chasm of misunderstanding, ignorance and judgement,
let us build a bridge of justice and mercy.
Over the chasm of disrespect, sarcasm and mockery,
let us build a bridge of justice and mercy.

Over the chasm of insults, scorn and hatred,
let us build a bridge of justice and mercy.
Over the chasm of inequity, abuse and cruelty,
let us build a bridge of justice and mercy.

Over every dehumanizing word, attitude and action
that creates a chasm of separation and inequality
among God’s creatures,
let us build a bridge of justice and mercy.

Sobre el abismo de los malentendidos, la ignorancia y el juicio,

Sobre el abismo de los insultos, el desprecio y el odio,
tendamos un puente de justicia y misericordia.
Sobre el abismo de la inequidad, el abuso y la crueldad.

Sobre toda palabra, actitud y acción deshumanizante
que cree un abismo de separación y desigualdad
entre las criaturas de Dios,
tendamos un puente de justicia y misericordia.
