roaring like a Mighty Wind
the good news of liberation,
for the world urgently needs
creative deeds of love
and bold acts of justice.

kindling like Flames of Fire

Let us go forth,
propelled by the Mighty Wind,
to show the world
that we have been empowered
to bear witness to life.

ignited by the Flames of Fire,
to show the world
that we have been empowered

Salgamos,
rugiendo como Viento Impetuoso
las buenas nuevas de liberación,
porque el mundo urgentemente necesita
obras creativas de amor
y gestos audaces de justicia.

Salgamos,
encendiendo como Llamas de Fuego
las buenas nuevas de liberación,
porque el mundo urgentemente necesita
obras creativas de amor
y gestos audaces de justicia.

Salgamos,
impulsados por el Viento Impetuoso,
a mostrarle al mundo
que hemos sido empoderados

If we put aside fear, we will indeed do
even greater works.
If we give up apathy, we will indeed do
even greater works.
If we renounce greed, we will indeed do
even greater works.

If we nurture trust, we will indeed do
even greater works.
If we take up care, we will indeed do
even greater works.
If we pursue generosity, we will indeed do
even greater works.

Let us go in peace,
leaning on the One
who is “the way, the truth and the life,
so that in his name
and for the good of humanity
we might dare do
even greater works.

Si dejamos de lado el miedo, en verdad haremos
obras aún mayores.
Si desistimos de la apatía, en verdad haremos
obras aún mayores.
Si renunciamos a la avaricia, en verdad haremos
obras aún mayores.

Si alimentamos la confianza, en verdad haremos
obras aún mayores.
Si practicamos el cuidado, en verdad haremos
obras aún mayores.
Si perseguimos la generosidad, en verdad haremos
obras aún mayores.

Vayamos en paz,
apoyándonos en Aquel
que es “el camino, la verdad y la vida”,
para que en su nombre
y para el bien de la humanidad
nos atrevamos a hacer
obras aún mayores.

When we repudiate prejudice and racism,
there is more than enough room.
When we renounce sexism and patriarchy,
there is more than enough room.
When we reject nationalism and imperialism,
there is more than enough room.

When we seek the care of creation,
there is more than enough room.
When we cultivate a mentality of acceptance,
there is more than enough room.
When we embrace kindness as a way of life,
there is more than enough room.

Let us worship and serve
the God who always makes room,
even for people like us!
Let us live in such a way
that the world might believe
God is indeed present in this house!

“Lugar más que suficiente”

Una letanía basada en Juan 14:1-14

Cuando repudiamos el prejuicio y el racismo,
hay lugar más que suficiente.
Cuando renunciamos al sexismo y el patriarcado,
hay lugar más que suficiente.
Cuando rechazamos el nacionalismo y el imperialismo,
hay lugar más que suficiente.

Cuando procuramos el cuidado de la creación,
hay lugar más que suficiente.
Cuando cultivamos una mentalidad de aceptación,
hay lugar más que suficiente.
Cuando acogemos la bondad como estilo de vida,
hay lugar más que suficiente.

Adoremos y sirvamos
al Dios que siempre hace lugar,
¡incluso para gente como nosotros!
Vivamos de forma tal
que el mundo pueda creer
que Dios está presente en esta casa.
